Client challenge – Leadership and Management Development
A Specialist care provider, with a school and residential care settings in the North West, approached Insight HR Solutions to strengthen its leadership and management team. The challenge for this business was to unite the leadership team behind a shared vision and develop management skills in their 40+ managers.
Our solution
Key to developing the right solution was understanding the client’s business, visiting their various care settings and listening to what they wanted to achieve – sustainability and growth for the future. Initially we held a one-day workshop with the leadership team to: co-create their future vision and strategy; identify their strengths and gaps; and collectively agree their expectations of their management team (there was some fun along the way too!). The output from this day helped inform the design of two subsequent management events. Working with the client and understanding their budget, resource and time constraints we identified the priority development area for their management team – communication. We then designed and delivered two days training which saw the vision shared, explored and owned by 40+ managers and communication skills and tools acquired.
